The Scottish Borders Business Forum

The Scottish Borders Business Forum (SBBF) represents forty-plus associations, enabling the industry to speak with one voice within and outwith the region.

Its purpose is to give critical mass to the diverse spectrum of Borders businesses, permitting credible dialogue with decision-makers and influence-formers in Newtown St Boswells, Holyrood, Westminster, and other appropriate quarters.

Its small steering committee comprises representatives from the key business sectors in the Scottish Borders.  They are drawn currently from the Federation of Small Businesses, Chamber of Commerce, Exporters Association, Tourism Partnership, Borders Creative, the Construction Industry, NFUS and Education.

In order to be effective the SBBF depends on input from the business community, whether trade bodies, associations or individuals. SBBF will make strenuous efforts to ensure that matters of importance which affect the success of the Scottish Borders businesses are drawn to its attention; and will champion the search for solutions through the most appropriate and effective channels.
